Bishop Okonkwo Rewards Airport Staff who Returned Money

The General Overseer of The Redeemed Evangelical Mission, Bishop Mike Okonkwo, on Sunday rewarded the honest Airport cleaner, Miss Josephine Ugwu, who found N12m and returned it to the owner.
Though the amount given to the lady was not disclosed by Okonkwo, unconfirmed TREM source said Ugwu got some millions of naira.
The General Manager, Operations, TREM, Pastor Yomi Uteh, who confirmed the Okonkwo award, also did not disclose the amount Bishop Okonkwo gave the lady.
Ugwu, who works for Patovilki Cleaning Services, a concessionaire engaged by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria to keep the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos clean, was on a monthly salary of N8,000 before the incident.
Before this development, Ugwu’s employer had increased her monthly salary from N8, 000 to N20, 000.
The Lagos State House of Assembly, had Monday, said it had concluded plans to honour the National Diploma graduate of Our Saviour Institute of Science, Agriculture and Technology, Enugu.
Her organisation apart from increasing her salary had also gave her N20,000 cash and a freezer.
Bishop Okonkwo was reported to have applauded the lady’s honesty and urged Nigerians to emulate her.
