Tasha Cobbs...Fill Me Up God
Posted by Ambassador T. Brikins
I sat there reading through tens of pages of presentations, googling in my media pad to cross check in the internet facts and information, listening to presentations, discussions, questions, chatting with seat neighbors and taking notes.
Back in my Hotel room at close to mid-night I gunned straight to bed after having a barbecued cat fish dinner by the pool side.
Two hours later, I was awakened by the need to study a business strategy I had written. But down in my spirit I desired to listen to the inspired lyrics and music of Praise Worship Leader Tasha Cobbs.
I clicked on the button and and Tasha Cobbs' soothing voice poured down like the soft showers of light drizzle on a sunny afternoon.
'You provide the fire,
I'll provide the sacrifice.
You provide the Spirit,
I will I will open up inside.
Fill me up God,
Until I over flow.
I wanna run over.
As the song poured over and over my soul and spirit in meditation, the revelation and understanding of a scripture I had known for many years, sprout up to my attention.'Without me you can do nothing'.
Yea, I thought, its the Spirit of God, or the Anointing that powers and energizes us to do any good and extraordinary thing. But we must be the sacrifice laid out, emptied out to receive an infilling...a worship.
'I appeal to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies presenting all your members and faculties as a living sacrifice, holy(devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable(rational, intelligent} service and a spiritual worship'.Romans 12:1.
Wow, I am a worship!
I must feel and express reverence and adoration for God. God must be venerated, given, devotion, praise, thanks, prayer, glory and honor.
But I must know and intelligently become a worship. And you too.
When Abraham and the Old Testament saints presented sacrifices to God, they were representing their worships to God through those animals and other material sacrifices.
But in the New Testament, while Christ has been sacrificed for our Redemption, we still have to present our bodies as a sacrifice of worship. So I am a worship. And you too.
That is when the Mighty Invisible Spirit of God will fill us with power to do impossible things. But God needs our bodies too.
Open up and receive the Spirit to overcome that challenge.
As I did this , I saw in clear picture, answers to my challenges.
God has provided the Fire... the Holy Spirit.
You provide, present your body as the sacrifice.
Open up inside.
Have you been helped by the Holy Spirit?
