President of Liberia, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, fighting the "demon" of ebola.

“We need empirical solution to the cure of Ebola not
“divine” solution, was the conclusion of Bayo Olupohunda in his article, “Ebola
and a Pastor’s “divine “ solution”.(The Punch, Thursday, July 31, 2014).
But do we need divine solution to the cure of Ebola and
perhaps other diseases?
Scientific empiricism is based on or act on observation or
experiment, not on theory.
Writing on the topic,”
Problems of world civilization, Achievements and limitations of science and
technology” in the classical book, World Civilizations by Edward MacNall Burns, Phiip Lee Ralph, Robert E.Lerner and
Standish Meacham, said, “For solutions
they (Politicians and Civil Servants) have continued to turn, paradoxically, to
those agencies responsible, in many cases, for the creation of the problems:
science and technology.”
Professor Oyewole Tomoro, "...no known vector...".
A world renowned virologists, Professor Oyewole Tomori, President
of Nigeria’s Academy of Sciences and former Vice Chancellor of Redeemers”
University, Mowe, Ogun State, South West Nigeria, who has been working on the Ebola
virus and other viruses said the dangerous ebola virus has no known vector and
that the link to fruit bats and chimpanzees is circumstantial.
"I wouldn't be worried to sit next to someone with Ebola virus on the Tube as long as they don't vomit on you or something. This is an infection that requires very close contact."Dr. Peter Piot, Belgian who discovered the ebola virus in 1976.
"I wouldn't be worried to sit next to someone with Ebola virus on the Tube as long as they don't vomit on you or something. This is an infection that requires very close contact."Dr. Peter Piot, Belgian who discovered the ebola virus in 1976.
Dr. Piot said,
“The main thing is to overcome the fear of the virus and put in place all
possible measures to contain this epidemic and care for the people who are
affected by it. That will require
massive international assistance and work in the communities in addition”.
Is there an empirical
solution to the power of fear?
But the Bible seem to have when it said, in Romans 8:15, “For
ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; …”. Elsewhere, it
talks about the spirit of love and of a sound mind.
Dr. Kent Brantly ran out of the isolation area giving high fives to his treatment team who had lined the halls.
Dr. Brantly who worked for Samaritan Purse in Liberia and was infected and has since recovered in his testimony titled "A Miraculous Day" said, “As I lay in my bed in Liberia for the following nine days, getting sicker and weaker each day, I prayed that God would help me to be faithful even in my illness, and I prayed that in my life or in my death, He would be glorified,” he said. “I did not know then, but I have learned since, that there were thousands, maybe even millions of people around the world praying for me throughout that week, and even still today. And I have heard story after story of how this situation has impacted the lives of individuals around the globe—both among my friends and family, and also among complete strangers. I cannot thank you enough for your prayers and your support. But what I can tell you is that I serve a faithful God who answers prayers.”
Some might say it was the drug administered on him that
healed him. The medical world has said they cannot explain why some survive and
others die from drugs being currently administered
on infected patients.
The Nigerian medical doctor who recovered from the infection
was reported to have a robust immune system that fought the virus to defeat.
Who put the immune system there?. God off course.
The writer I quoted
at the introductory paragraph wrote further, that ,”we should learn a lesson
from the Liberian government that has made it a criminal offence for any of its
citizens to conceal or claim unorthodox solution to its treatment”.
Recently, Liberian
President Ellen Johnson Sir leaf referred to the disease as “a demon”.
Is there an empirical proof for the existence of demons?
But Jesus Christ did. That’s why He instructed believers in
Mark 11:17, “And these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name shall
they cast out devils…”. Jesus could give this command to His disciples and all
who care to believe among other things because He had proofs of casting out demons
in Mark 1:21-28;Mahew 8:1-4. Luke who was a medical doctor reported also the
casting out of demons exposing the relationship between sickness, disease and
demons in Luke 6:17-19; 8:26-39.
DO WE NEED “DIVINE SOLUTION?”
