The Resurrection Power Is Your  Rescue

43  Blessings of the Power and Benefits of Easter and how to activate them.

For lack of current stats the 2013 Economic Impact of Easter at $17.2 Billion reported by Jon C. Ogg shows how and where money goes. That also is an indication of the expressive value placed on this global festival.

24/7 Wall St. tries to evaluate what the cost of each major holiday will be, or what the economic contribution is. The National Retail Federation tallies each holiday up using data from BIGinsight and the 2013  survey was based on data from 5,050 consumers. What they found each holiday’s economic value tends to be under-calculated. The 2013 Easter tally in America is put at $17.2 billion, but the reality is that much more gets spent than this number.

The 2013 report was called one of frugality as the average person celebrating Easter will spend roughly $145.13 in 2013 versus $145.28 in 2012. The total comes from spending on candy, decor, apparel and food. Here are some basic statistics used from the study:

‘’ Family brunch or dinner: 86.9% will spend an average of $45.26 on items needed for their holiday meal.

New spring attire: Some 48.4% will purchase clothing this Easter, spending an average of $25.91 for bright new outfits for children or for themselves.

Candy: A whopping 90.5% will have bought Easter candy, spending an average of $20.66 on jelly beans, chocolate and more.

Easter gifts: $20.82 on gifts.

Flowers: $9.49 on flowers.

Decorations: $9.11 on decorations.

Where they buy: Some 63.4% will shop at discount stores; 40.7% will shop at their favorite department store; 24.9% will shop at specialty stores, some 21.1% will shop online, and 10.6% will go to specialty clothing stores.

There is also proof that the mobile internet is taking over on shopping as well, even for the Easter Bunny. The report showed:

43.3% of smartphone owners will have used their mobile device to research product information, look up store hours and location, compare prices and even purchase gifts and other items.

14.8% said that they would purchase Easter products with their smartphones.

51.0% of tablet owners said that they would use their device to make purchases, or to do things like research prices and products and to look up retailer locations and hours.

22.1% of those surveyed said that they would purchase something via their tablet.

We would again note that the holiday tally here sounds huge at $17.2 billion in 2013. Our issue is that of the $145.13 spent, the tally of clothing, candy, gifts, food, flowers, decorations and greeting cards comes to $116.39. The “other” category is only $28.74 and does not include many of the things we might lump in with the extra family spending’’

That’s how far the secular and to a large extent the Christian world perceive Easter. But beyond that, any time you write a date you are acknowledging how long ago the resurrection power has been in operation. But how many people know and are benefiting from the resurrection power?

 Easter Collections

For many years I could not understand how one man’s fall or sin thousands of years ago should mean my fall or cause me to fall. I pondered over this paradox for years until the veil was removed from my understanding by Romans 5:17. ‘’ For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ’’.

The word Easter arise once in the New Testament. It is a translation of the Greek word ‘‘pasha’’, better translated as ‘’Passover’’ in 28 other scripture in the New Testament. What engages our attention here is the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. This miracle of Easter is the heart of Christianity. Resurrection Power bears solutions to life’s challenges on a daily and not an annual basis. Like the deliverance of Apostle Peter from the physical prison of the Roman Empire under King Herod, it is still effective today.

Easter is historically not of Christian origin. In The Vine’s Complete Expository Dictionary of Old and New Testament Words, ‘’It is another form of Astarte, one of the titles of the Chaldean goddess, the Queen of heaven. The festival of Pasch held by Christians in post-apostolic times was a continuation of the Jewish feast, but was not instituted by Jesus Christ nor was it connected with Lent. From this Pasch the pagan festival of ‘’Easter’’ was quite distinct and was introduced into the apostate Western religion, as part of the attempt to adapt pagan festivals to Christianity’’.1

Off historical note is the baptism of Aurelius Augustinus or Augustine (which means little Emperor) the greatest father of the Western Church in Christian Rome in the 4th Century AD.   Church Historian Jonathan Hill, wrote in his book, History of Christianity that the Church,’’…was still a minority concern…and there was still no official position on what they were to believe’’. This was when Augustine was baptized by Bishop Ambrose (c.AD 339-397), a distinguished preacher and scholar in Milan Cathedral, together with his son, at sunrise on Easter Day AD 387.2

The Resurrection which is the core celebration of the Christian festival ‘anastasis’ denotes,  ‘’a rising up’ ’as in the resurrection of Christ.  Apostle Peter, the leader of the early church declared during the selection of a disciple to replace the fallen Judas. ‘’ Beginning from the baptism of John, unto that same day that he was taken up from us, must one be ordained to be a witness with us of his resurrection’’. Acts 1:22.  And Apostle Paul confirmed that, ’’ And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead: ‘’Romans 1:4.

The resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead after 3 days by the power of the resurrection as foretold in scripture and repeated by him and continued by the early church is the heart of the Christian faith and message.

But even the Apostles who lived, walked, worked and taught by Jesus, the ‘’Resurrection’’ himself, did not understand at the beginning. They went to their homes to mind their businesses.

‘’ Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him.

Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the sepulchre.

so they ran both together: and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulchre.

And he stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in.

Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie,

and the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself.

then went in also that other disciple, which came first to the sepulchre, and he saw, and believed.

for as yet they knew not the scripture that he must rise again from the dead.

Then the disciples went away again unto their own home’’. John 20:1-10

The invisible Resurrection Power is the power behind the rescue of Peter from physical prison that the Roman government condemned him to death in.

‘’ Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church.

and he killed James the brother of John with the sword.

and because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.)

and when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people.

Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.

Peter Is Rescued

and when Herod would have brought him forth, the same night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains: and the keepers before the door kept the prison.

And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.

and the angel said unto him, Gird thyself, and bind on thy sandals. And so he did. And he saith unto him, Cast thy garment about thee, and follow me.

and he went out, and followed him; and wist not that it was true which was done by the angel; but thought he saw a vision.

When they were past the first and the second ward, they came unto the iron gate that leadeth unto the city; which opened to them of his own accord: and they went out, and passed on through one street; and forthwith the angel departed from him.

and when Peter was come to himself, he said, now I know of a surety, that the Lord hath sent his angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews.

and when he had considered the thing, he came to the house of Mary the mother of John, whose surname was Mark; where many were gathered together praying.

And as Peter knocked at the door of the gate, a damsel came to hearken, named Rhoda.

and when she knew Peter's voice, she opened not the gate for gladness, but ran in, and told how Peter stood before the gate.

and they said unto her, Thou art mad. But she constantly affirmed that it was even so. Then said they, It is his angel.

But Peter continued knocking: and when they had opened the door, and saw him, they were astonished.

but he, beckoning unto them with the hand to hold their peace, declared unto them how the Lord had brought him out of the prison. And he said, Go shew these things unto James, and to the brethren. And he departed, and went into another place.

Now as soon as it was day, there was no small stir among the soldiers, what was become of Peter.

and when Herod had sought for him, and found him not, he examined the keepers, and commanded that they should be put to death. And he went down from Judaea to Caesarea, and there abode. ’Acts 12:1-19

The primacy of Jesus Christ’s Resurrection and how to practically operate in the resurrection power is the theme of this study. The celebration of the power of the resurrection is a lifestyle covenantally ordained by God for our true dominion as His Adopted sons to be heirs with His Holy Son Jesus Christ. The dominion over the earth that Adam lost in the Garden of Eden by disobedience was taken back by the obedience of Jesus Christ. The event of the resurrection has legally sealed our redemption in the words, of Jesus at the cross of Calvary.  ‘’It is finished’’. However, since these blessings are spiritual and in the heavenlies we fundamentally need the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God to access them. This is the reason for Paul’s  prayer for the believer.

‘’ Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,

Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;

That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:

The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:

And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,

Which is his body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all’’. Ephesians 1:15-23.

But why is the resurrection power not understood by many believers?

According to E. W. Kenyon,’’…the greatest miracle happens when a man receives Eternal Life, when a child of the devil become a child of God…When a man who is spiritually dead passes out of the realm of satan into the realm of Life ( into the kingdom of the Son of God’s Love) that is the miracle of miracles’’. But why is this often lost? It is lost because ‘’ to the sense knowledge man, the Resurrection is the greatest miracle, because that is something the sense can register. But the new birth is an unseen miracle. It is in the Spirit Realm.

Man’s soul or reasoning faculties cannot be born again. They cannot receive the nature of God independent of his Spirit. His spirit is part of him that is recreated.

Rev. E. Hagin believes that the greater problem of the church is not the devil but carnality. This did not make sense to me until the Holy Spirit revealed the instruction to me,’’ This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. …if we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit’’. Galatians 5:16, 17, 25.

Since lack of knowledge is no excuse in the world of the spirit which controls physical life, ’’ My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children’’ Hosea 4:4., 41 points regarding the resurrection power are presented to build faith and cause us to experience the eternal victory that Christ has purchased for  us by His blood.

1. Like Apostle Paul we of necessity need to know the power inherent in the resurrection power.

''‘’ That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; …’’ Philippians 3:10

2. The resurrection power gives us a new law to live a victorious new life in the Spirit

'' There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.

For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.

For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.'' Romans 8:1-10 '

‘’ That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; …’’ Philippians 3:10

3.            The power and benefits of the revelation power are things which are and are to come too

‘’ Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter; …’’. Revelation 1:19

4.            This written knowledge is our license for   triumph

‘’ Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place’’. 2 Corinthians 2:14

5. The resurrection power redeemed us from curses

‘’ Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith’’. Galatians 3:13’14

6. The power of resurrection has given us the whole armour of God against the seen and unseen attack of our enemies

‘’ Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil’’. Ephesians 6:11.

7.            The resurrection power is the answer to sin reigning to death

‘’ That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord’’. Romans 5:21

8.            The resurrection power is the greatest expression of love impacting the seen and unseen world

‘’ For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life’’. John 3:16

9.            This resurrection power affords us the power to overcome the world

‘’Whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?’’. 1 John 5:4-5

10.            But who is righteous?

‘’ As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:’’ Romans 3:10

11.          The resurrection power makes us righteous

‘’ For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous

Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.’’. Romans 5:19-21

12.          How can we get this gift of righteousness?

‘’   For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believeth.

For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, that the man which doeth those things shall live by them.

but the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, who shall ascend into heaven? (That is, to bring Christ down from above :)

or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)

 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

For the scripture saith, whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. ‘’ Romans 10:5-13

We can get the gift of righteousness by calling on the Lord Jesus Christ.

13.          The resurrection power has given us the power to reign over sin

‘’ Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

neither yield you your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

for sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace’’. Romans 6:11-12

14.          Rather by wreaking with the smell of sin we are now a sweet smelling fragrance or scent before God

‘’ For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish:

To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things? 2 Corinthians 2:15, 16

15.          The resurrection power conquered Satan who subjected us to bondage through the fear of death.

‘’ And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:

I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death’’. Revelation 1:18

‘’Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage’’. Hebrew 2:14, 15.

16.          He did this for us when He died, buried and went to hell to deliver us from the power of Satan

‘’ And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it’’. Colossians 2:15.

‘’ Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: …’’. Colossians 1:13, 14

17.          This is the foundational basis for which God legally offers us freedom from hell and right to eternal life

‘’ Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life’’. John 5:24

‘’ Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life’’. John 6:47

18.          The Resurrection Power endues us with power from on high because the battle of life is spiritually orchestrated

‘’And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high. ‘’Luke 24: 49

‘’ For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places’’. Ephesians 6:12

19.          The resurrection power is a call into fellowship with the Son of God

‘’ God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord’’. 1 Corinthian 1:9.

20.          The Resurrection Power gives us power over evil forces

‘’ He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

And these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Mark 16:16-18

21.          The resurrection power replaces the physical presence of Jesus Christ with His Spiritual Presence through the Ministry of the Holy Spirit everywhere

‘’ Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. ‘’. Matthew 28:20

22.          The resurrection power has made Jesus Christ our personal Advocate in the Supreme Court of heaven’s Justice

‘’ My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world’’. 1John 2:1, 2.

23.          The resurrection power gives us motivational and inspirational power to live a resurrected life. The Presence of the Holy Spirit was made possible by the act of the power of the resurrection.

‘’ But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you’’. Romans 8:11.

24.          How the resurrection can impact our lives

‘’ Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come’’. John 16:13.

25.          The resurrection power confirms Who Jesus Christ says He is and what He said would happen

‘’  Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.

For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on:

And they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again’’. Luke 18:31-33.

‘’ And after eight days again His disciples were within, and Thomas with them: then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace be unto you.

Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

‘’ And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.

Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. ‘’ John 20:26 -29

26.          The resurrection power is proof that He is alive today

‘’ After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. ‘’1 Corinthians 15:6

The conversion of a Chief frontline persecutor

‘’ And Saul, yet breathing out threatenings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest,

and desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he found any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.

and as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:

and he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?

and he said, who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.

and he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.

and the men which journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no man.

and Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw no man: but they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus.

and he was three days without sight, and neither did eat nor drink’’. Acts 9:1-9.

‘’ Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and for ever’’. Hebrews 13: 8. This and other scripture is being fulfilled in the lives of persons and Christian institutions where His teachings are being applied.

27.          The resurrection power offers us a new spiritual birth into divine inheritance and a living hope

‘’ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time’’. 1Peter 1:3-5.

28.          The supernatural indwelling Holy Spirit’s Presence helps us to overcome odds

‘’ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world’’. I John 4:4

29.          The anointing or resurrection power resides in us to destroy yokes

‘’ But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him’’. 1 John 2:27

30.          How we   can stir the resurrection power in us to obtain blessings like healing, abundance, peace, joy and every good thing, etc

‘’ Jesus said unto him, if thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.’’ Mark 9:23

Belief is our master key. Just as we believed and got saved, we automatically became God’s sons and the resurrection power came into you.

Furthermore, ‘’…  if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelled in you’’. Romans 8:11. This is achieved by using    the Name of Jesus, the blood of Jesus over every situation in our lives. When sickness tempts us —we should apply the blood of Jesus—resurrection power over it. Same for lack. We should boldly declare our freedom from curse (Galatians 3:13, 14) and claim Jesus’ triumph on the cross for us. Remember, He gave us power against unclean spirits.

31.          We energize our belief   by speaking or confession

I BELIVE AND SPEAK. As you speak the word which is spirit and life, the spirit quickens or makes alive your mortal body to high vitality.

32.          Speaking gives life by action. We should Act out the word of God we speak…walk the talk.

‘’ Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. ‘’ James 2:17, 18

33.          We   can get back and maintain our health through the Resurrection Power

‘’ But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you’’. Romans 8:11. You’re not qualified to bear sin, sickness, disease and demons. Jesus did all that so you don’t have to bear it. So, you shouldn’t bear it. It’s blasphemous for you to even try.

Our role is to resist anything that tempts us with what Jesus Christ already bore for us on the cross. That’s our responsibility. That’s what we’re expected to do. He bore our sin, so we resist sin, or the temptation of it. He bore our sickness and disease, so we resist sickness and disease. Instead of being tempted to just lay down and put up with it, we resist it. To walk in resurrection power, we believe, speak and act on healing or any challenge before us. Expect the power of God in our physical body, expect the same power that raised Jesus from the dead to operate in your life, and live healed, healthy and whole in Jesus’ Name!

34.          The Power of Resurrection births in us the life of God

“I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.” –Revelation 1:18 (NKJV) am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me’’ Galatians 2:20

Jesus came to bring us new life. The word life in the Greek is Zoe. It is the God kind of life—charging through our very being.

Living in Zoe life means that God keeps on making life in our bodies because zoo is eternal, ongoing life. That resurrection life is designed to continually upgrade and renew our physical beings. If we are going to fulfill Scripture and live to 120 years (Genesis 6:3), then our bodies will have to experience a continual impartation of the zoo life of God.

As Kenneth Copeland said, we can,'' activate resurrection power by confessing the following: “Because of Jesus’ resurrection life in me, I am getting stronger and stronger every day. My eyes are seeing more clearly, my ears are hearing better, my mind is functioning perfectly, and every bone, organ, nerve and ligament is daily being supercharged with the glory of God! The same Spirit that raised up Jesus from the dead is now dwelling in me and is constantly making alive my mortal flesh (Romans 8:11). My days are being lengthened, and my youth is renewed like the eagle’s (Psalm 103:5).”

Resurrection life is available to all of us, but we must receive it by faith. We must embrace a daily recognition of the life of God dwelling inside us and making alive our mortal flesh. This must become a reality. We should wake up every morning and declare, “The resurrection life of God is living in me today!”

Activate resurrection power by confessing the following: “Because of Jesus’ resurrection life in me, I am getting stronger and stronger every day.

35.          The Resurrection Power gives us freedom in all areas of life

‘’ “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” –John 8:36 (NIV)

Resurrection power frees you from the bondage of sin and from your past. Your part in Jesus’ crucifixion and His suffering—what you must do to walk in resurrection power—is to forget those things that are behind you and reach forward to what is ahead for you (Philippians 3:13).

36.          The Resurrection Power makes us a new creature

‘’ Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.’’ 2 Corinthians 5:17

‘’ Dead to Sin, Alive to God

‘’ What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?

God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?

Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

For he that is dead is freed from sin.

Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:

Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.

For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.

Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace’ ’Romans 6:1-14.

37.          How the Resurrection Power can help us overcome sin.

You don’t overcome sin by trying to stop sinning. You overcome it by walking after the new life God has put within you; by spending time in the Word and in prayer. As you do that, the Spirit of God will strengthen you and enable you to put that sin under your feet.

Take the first step today by asking for His help. Say, “Lord, I desire to experience the power to live by this new life every day. By a decision of my heart, I put down the dictates of sin. I declare myself dead to it. In Jesus’ Name, I will spend time in prayer and in the Word today. As I do, I believe I’ll receive a Holy Spirit refreshing in my life. I believe I’ll begin to live out the resurrection power you’ve placed in me!”

When you activate the power, live healed, live the zoo life and live free—you will live in resurrection power every day! As you celebrate Resurrection Sunday, let a new meaning of this day come up in your spirit, stir your faith, and activate resurrection power in your life. We have reason to celebrate every day because He is risen, indeed!

38.          The Resurrection Power translates us from the earthly to heavenly realm

‘’ Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved ;)

And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:’’. Ephesians 2:5, 6. Commentary. In the purpose of God we have been raised from the grave of sin and are seated with the risen Lord in the place of acceptance and victory. We were one with Christ when He lay in the grave and arose. In God’s thought we have already taken our seat with the glorified Christ upon the throne; only the pity is that we do not believe this or act as if we had done so. All this is the gift of God’s unmerited love. By grace have we been brought into this position, and by grace are we maintained in it.

39.          The Power of the Resurrection has broken the power of sin

‘’ Life in the Spirit

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you’’ Romans 8:1-11

‘’ What then? Are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;

‘’ As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one:’’ Romans 3:9, 10

‘’ For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;’’ Romans 3:23

40.          We have power over death

‘’ So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?’’ 1 Corinthians 15:54, 55

41.          We are now the righteousness of Christ in Jesus

‘’ For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. ‘’ 1 Corinthians 5:21

42.          We have free from eternal punishment to eternal life

‘’ For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord’’. Romans 6:23

43. By the power of the resurrection, Christ now lives in us.

‘’ I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me’’ Galatians 2:20
